- About me: "if you break the psychological barrier of fear, you can have a revolution" google vp during the recent egyptian uprising
i'm an artist and an entrepreneur. i've been fighting with my weight for most of my adult life. i lost 50lbs in 3 months many years ago, but for the past few years i've been going up and down trying to lose weight and stay in shape. i have literally taken about 200 before pictures at the start of my many diet attempts, with no after photos or real lasting success to show for my efforts. last year i lost 25 pounds twice! and gained it right back.
in the search to find new ideas to live a healthier life i turned to the almighty google to see what she had to say. i started to find all of these videos of people sharing their experiences, their struggles and their success. I found that people were editing videos of their progress or sharing their wisdom to help others. i couldn't believe how many options we have as a society to lose weight and stay in shape.
the problem i noticed though, was these people and groups and their videos were scattered all over the web! also, on sites like youtube they get lost in the shuffle of over 24 hours of video uploaded every minute of the day. not to mention the haters and the bullies... the anonymous critics yelling "harpoon the whale" to a mom posting her weekly progress report.
this inspired me to create watchMEmelt. a hateraid free zone where together as one great community of like-minded people we can get healthier by sharing our experiences and pushing each other forward. - Goal: To motivate others, be accountable to my friends and family for my weight loss and fitness goals and to live a healthy and exciting life.
